Accounting Assistant

SUMMARY: Performs a wide range of accounting and administrative duties to support the accounting department. This is an entry level position, will be trained. Will be required to work on site, no remote work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Verifies information and maintains accounts receivable reports including but not
  • limited to monthly sales, open invoices, and aging reports.
    Ensures timely and accurate processing of accounts payable; receives, verifies,
  • and posts accounts payable invoices into accounting system.
    Interacts with vendors and department managers when processing a resolution
  • of account discrepancies.
    Receives and reviews purchase orders, check requests, and/or other related
  • documentation for completeness and compliance with financial policies,
    procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Receives credit card receipts and reconciles against corporate credit cards on a monthly basis.
  • Follows up on account statements and other discrepancies regarding payment of
    accounts; serves as liaison between departments and vendors in the resolution of
    administrative problems and inquiries.
  • Reviews, audits, and processes employee expense reimbursements; verifies
    accuracy of expenses and adherence to company policies.
  • Maintains accounting department files and records.
  • Enters information into accounting data entry system.
  • Assists with month-end close and runs monthly reports as required.
  • Answers, screens, and directs incoming telephone calls.
  • Sorts and distributes internal and external mail.
  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying,
    faxing, typing, and mailing.
  • Assists with special accounting projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Some accounting experience preferred but not required
    • Accurately keystroke a minimum of 50 wpm.
    • 10-key by touch.
    • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts.
    • Acute attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Government Business Development Specialist

SUMMARY:Finds solicitations from multiple US Government sources, implements overall strategies with OEM/Vendors to support proposal submissions. Able to self-supervise after training and work long hours and or weekends when needed to support the US Government. Must be able to forecast future development by following US Defense Spending. Will be working with other Business Development Specialists to formulate strategies together as a team. This is not a remote position. Must be available to interview in person.

  • Identifies and generates new business; develops and delivers sales presentations.
  • Develops customer relations including but not limited to sales leads, research, cold calling Regional Contracting Offices on US Military bases, FOBs, Camps and US Embassies worldwide, qualifying leads, developing leads, and customer service.
  • Develops and implements a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new US Government Contracts
  • Grows existing accounts to full potential and generates maximum revenue on a long-term basis.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains procedures that enhance the efficiency of the business development team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent, but not required or two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Experience with FAR, DFAR, CPARs is a plus
  • US Veteran status a plus but not required
  • Must be willing to work long hours and or salaried position based on performance
  • Will be trained to current standards/ OJT (On Job Training)
  • Must be willing to travel in the United State and outside the United States when required.
